Physical Activities

During the school closure we need to focus on the importance of keeping our children active, fit, and healthy at home. It is very important for your children’s physical and mental wellbeing, that they stay physically active. They should try to be at active for at least 60 minutes per day. Here are some ideas and website to use for keeping them active each day. 

30 minute a day activities that can be done at home: 

  • Creating a dance routine

Play children different music and they have to create a Dance routine that they can teach to others.

  • Circuit training 

Choose a variety of exercises to perform for 30 to 60 seconds.Have 1 to 2 minutes rest between each set of exercises.Choose from:star jumps, tuck jumps, press ups, planks, running on the spot. squats, lunges leg raises or high knees.

  • Skill practice:   

Choose a skill to practice:

  • Jumping
  • Dancing

Throwing and catching,

  • Skipping
  • Walking or running in your back garden.
