Science Week
Science Week at North Beckton
This week the children have dived into the world of science through exciting investigations, engaging demonstrations and captivating topics in their science lessons. Children have been exploring rocks and fossils, learning about the digestive and circulatory systems, exploring healthy eating and making observations of the world around them, amongst many other interesting areas of science.
We were also very lucky to have a special visitor this week from the Royal Institute of Science who presented a live scientific show for Reception, KS1 and KS2 all about 'Explosive food'. Children were in awe and wonder at the spectacular demonstrations and inspiring talks from a scientist from the Royal institute. The demonstrations included setting bubbles on fire, making rockets, amongst other explosive demonstrations.
Parents were invited to attend a science afternoon this Friday to share in their children's learning.
